snoopy, darcy

woooo! :)

We're just scrabbling up some dinner now (basic pasta w/tomato sauce--good old comfort food), and we're flying out at 9:10 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Some thoughts in no particular order:
Wedding went WONDERFULLY; my father picked up a red electric guitar from the D.J. and rock-mimed an impromptu Johnny Be Good at the reception, completely sober. Some of the guests were in tears; we had no idea he was so talented. :) jcobleigh didn't cry at the ceremony, but we both came close. He kissed my hand after putting my ring on my finger. :) While the minister was discoursing on the Meaning of Marriage, he mentioned how it was designed such that we would "multiply and be fruitful," my father said, "Amen!" and I shot him a look and the whole church burst out laughing. :) jcobleigh and I had our organist play Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor (the Dracula pipe-organ piece) when I started to walk down the aisle with my father at the rehearsal. I did my Bride of Frankenstein* bit and everybody relaxed and laughed. :)

jcobleigh is

my

husband.

WOW. :)

*In March 2001, I was in a car accident that left a 10-cm. scar running across my face. They'd wrapped my head in bandages, so while lying on the hospital bed I said to my mother, "I feel like a mummy!" and she said, "A mummy? You look like the Bride of Frankenstein!" I love my mother; I wouldn't have her any other way. :)

I am so surprised that you are posting - I expected you to be basking in newlywed bliss and to be oblivious to the outside world for a good month or so. But I am glad to hear from you and glad to hear that went well. And I hope that your honeymoon is as wonderful.

What happened with your officiant and the family emergency? Did everything work out ok?

Do e-mail pictures. Your husband should have my e-mail address, but if he doesn't it's kateycp2k(at)comcast(dot)net.

We are basking in newlywed bliss--it's just that we're both computer geeks, so part of our basking is to blog-as-we-go... :)

We'll put some pictures up on our webpage and email the link to everybody. Never fear! :) We're sure to be deluged with at least a thousand of them. :)

The officiant was able to make it; the family emergency turned out okay. :) Everything worked out far better and easier than we had expected! :)
you guys are just crazy
blogging when you should not be
I'm so glad someone agrees with me. :)
the only *good* thing about it i guess, is that at least they both did it...
no sneaking behind each others back...

*sigh*
Woot! Go you.

i found it amusing that your dad's comment seemed to derail your pastor's train of thought and he babbled for several moments before resuming the ceremony.

congrats again!
